All About Ash
Writer-Director Ash Bhalla was born in Mumbai minutes from Dharavi, the biggest slum in all of Asia.
On his journey from the East through Paris, Barcelona, and Prague; Ash studied Philosophy, and went on to become a committed activist in the London Union movement, engaging in the politicization of his co-workers, struggling to protect their rights and fighting to improve their working conditions.
He financed his education by working as a pit boss in the high-roller world of casino gaming in Mayfair, London where he encountered everything from prostitutes, drug dealers and crime bosses, to billionaires, movie stars and royalty.
Ash is now a filmmaker operating in London, Mumbai and New York.
